This pantry program pairs 2 underserved communities - the Autistic adults supported by TNC and the financially insecure residents of Long Island and Westchester. Our TNC team procures, organizes and delivers essential items - personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and meat to 4,000 neighbors-in-need at local food pantries.
Note: We accept both donations of goods and funds. Please see below for details.

The Nicholas Center Provides was started as an answer to a need - supplying local food pantries with personal care items, cleaning supplies and meat. These are items that are not covered by food stamps or assistance programs. TNC Participants are proud to be an integral part of this program and to offer vital help to their neighbors in this meaningful way.
The project has grown into a vocational skills and community service opportunity for The Nicholas Center...pairing two underserved populations - Autistic adults and the food insecure in our communities - to provide help to each other!
The Nicholas Center participants source, inventory, pack and deliver items to our partner pantries serving some 4,000 individuals, families and seniors. Items collected each month include: Meat - Baby Wipes - Soap - Laundry Detergent - Dishwashing Liquid - Diapers -Toothpaste/Toothbrushes - Sanitary Napkins & Tampons - Paper Towels
The program costs run at approximately $25,000/per month. “We ask the community’s help to keep this program going, '' says Nicole Ferrara, TNC Co-Founder. “You may donate goods or funds via our online links." All are appreciated.
(Every dollar you contribute is fully tax-deductible and will directly go to purchase and deliver the supplies.)
We welcome mitzvah projects, food drives, and other community efforts to support this work.
